Jang Wonyoung donated 200 million won to Severance Hospital. According to MoneyToday, Severance Hospital said on 11 February 2026 that she had given the hospital a total of 200 million won to support the treatment of paediatric patients. The money goes to two development funds, 100 million won to Severance Children’s Hospital and 100 million won to the paediatric department at Gangnam Severance Hospital. The same report said it would pay for patient treatment and for improving the care environment.

Why it matters
The Korea Economic Daily, citing Severance Hospital, reported that Jang Wonyoung decided to give in order to help children her own age recover, to pass on a positive influence, and to grow together with them in future. The same report said that having many young fans had a bearing on the decision. Lee Sang-gil (이상길), head of external relations at Yonsei University Health System, said: “We are deeply grateful for this meaningful sharing for paediatric patients,” and added: “We will use it carefully so that it is of real help to the treatment and recovery of the children in our care.”
