What happened

AGE20’S, the makeup brand of Aekyung Industrial, has named Rei of IVE its global ambassador. Aekyung Industrial announced it in a release on 19 August 2026, saying that it would begin rebranding AGE20’S as a global brand from the second half of 2026. Herald Business and Cosmorning reported the appointment the same day. The release said that with the appointment the brand would build a new brand image and a new universe for itself as a skin-first makeup brand, and would widen its contact with consumers at home and abroad on the strength of Rei’s reach.

What the brand announced is not a single modelling deal but a plan to change the brand itself. Herald Business wrote that AGE20’S would build a new universe for itself as a skin-first makeup brand while speaking to consumers at home and abroad. The release also set out the order of the campaign: a brand film and a photoshoot first, then large-scale outdoor advertising in the Gangnam, Seongsu and Hongdae districts of Seoul and in subway stations, and then a pop-up store. Cosmorning reported that the brand film and the photoshoot would be released from August 2026.
