What happened

‘Bloody Paradise’, the title track of ENHYPEN’s eighth mini album THE SIN : BLISS, has taken six first-place trophies on Korean music shows. CBC News reported that ENHYPEN placed first on Mnet’s M Countdown on 3 September for a second consecutive week, and wrote that reaching the top of five music shows for six wins in total renewed the group’s record for the most music-show wins. MK Sports wrote the same day that six trophies across five music shows set a new highest tally for the group.

The trophies were collected over nine days. According to Top Star News, the first came on 26 August on Show Champion, which airs on MBC M and MBC every1; Mnet’s M Countdown followed on 27 August and KBS2’s Music Bank on 28 August. On Music Bank the song finished first with a total of 12,817 points, adding up streaming, broadcast frequency, fan voting, physical album and social media scores. A fourth trophy came on 29 August on MBC’s Show! Music Core, making it four wins that week.

The fifth came on 30 August on SBS’s Inkigayo. Top Star News wrote that ENHYPEN took first place with 4,815 points in total — 1,000 for physical album sales, 2,000 for social media, 700 for broadcast, 500 for live voting and 615 for streaming. The same article said the win put the group first on all five music shows, for five wins and a grand slam. Jay told the audience, “This is the first grand slam ENHYPEN have had in the six years since we debuted. Thank you.” Jungwon said, “I honestly didn’t think we would win today. Thank you. It’s our last stage of the promotions, and you gave us a present like this — thank you, ENGENE.”

The sixth trophy arrived four days later, on episode 944 of M Countdown on 3 September. Soompi reported that ‘Bloody Paradise’ won that broadcast with a total of 7,822 points. It is the second trophy from that programme and the song’s sixth win.

What the outlets marked together is that six passes the group’s own previous best. CBC News wrote that the 3 September win renewed ENHYPEN’s record for the most music-show wins, and MK Sports wrote that it set a new highest tally for the group. Sports Kyunghyang’s English edition also wrote that this is ENHYPEN’s highest number of music-show trophies for a single song.

The step before it was the grand slam. etoday wrote that ENHYPEN lifted the first-place trophies of five music shows — Inkigayo, Show! Music Core, Music Bank, M Countdown and Show Champion — for their first grand slam since debut. The span Jay named on stage, six years, is that period.

Chart results from the same days were reported alongside it. MK Sports wrote that ‘Bloody Paradise’ entered Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 at number 23, its first appearance there, and Sports Kyunghyang’s English edition gave the same position on 2 September. On the album side, the same article reported THE SIN : BLISS at number one in three Oricon categories — the weekly combined album ranking, the weekly album ranking and the weekly overseas album ranking — and etoday wrote that it went straight in at number one on the weekly album ranking dated 7 September, covering 24 to 30 August, with about 190,000 copies.

Korean sales came before that. Top Star News, citing Hanteo Chart figures published on 27 August, wrote that THE SIN : BLISS had sold 2,022,369 copies cumulatively as of 26 August.
