What happened

Sullyoon and Haewon of NMIXX appeared on SBS’s Whenever Possible in the episode broadcast on 20 January 2026. According to Newsen the filming took place in Daejeon, which is Sullyoon’s home city. Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok present the programme, and Xports News wrote that the four of them worked through three missions across the city.

The format sends the presenters into short gaps in people’s days with a prize riding on a game. The first of those gaps belonged to a KAIST student who is a third-intake member of NMIXX’s fan club, NSWER. Newsen reported that when the student asked when they would sing ‘Hello, Gabby!’ live, Haewon and Sullyoon sang it there and then. News1 reported the same scene on the day of the broadcast, and SBS’s own YouTube channel posted the moment separately.

That Daejeon is Sullyoon’s home city is already established in the reporting: in September 2025 the Hanwha Eagles wrote on their official account that she would be pitching “in her home city of Daejeon”, and she said as much herself. This episode is the case where that fact became the setting for the whole programme.

Newsen reported that Haewon said on air: “Daejeon has three famous things: Sungsimdang, KAIST and Sullyoon.” The second gap belonged to a researcher at a nuclear institute, and the mission was to place 5 magnets inside a shrinking space and keep them still for 5 seconds. The outlet wrote that Sullyoon’s play carried the mission to its third stage so that every prize could be handed over, and Xports News noted it was the first time the programme had cleared stage three in Daejeon.
