ITZY's Yuna plays the actress Yoon Cho-i in tvN's My Bias, My Boss, her second drama after Undercover Miss Hong

What happened

tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama My Bias, My Boss premiered at 8:45 p.m. on 3 August 2026, with Yuna of ITZY in the role of the actress Yoon Cho-i. Ahead of the premiere, Newspim introduced Yoon Cho-i on 10 July as “a figure who won the public’s love the moment she debuted and shot to rising-star status at once”, and wrote that she had played opposite Lee Chan (Cha Woo-min), the favourite idol of Nam Da-reum (Kim Hye-jun), in a romance. Newspim and eDaily print the actor’s name as Shin Yuna. Sports Kyunghyang reported that in episode 2, broadcast on 4 August, Yoon Cho-i stood on a press conference stage with Lee Chan to promote their work and then, in the waiting room, told him: “I can’t break up. No, I won’t break up. I really meant it.” The same report said that in the drama Yoon Cho-i had co-starred with Lee Chan in the hit series Bittersweet. The tvN DRAMA YouTube channel posted that scene as a clip the same day. According to bnt News, episode 1 averaged 4.2 percent nationwide with a peak of 5.3 percent on Nielsen Korea’s count, first in its time slot among cable and general programming channels.

Why is it trending?

This is not Yuna’s first acting role. OSEN reported exclusively on 1 July 2025 that Yuna would make her acting debut in tvN’s new drama, then under the working title Miss Undercover Boss, as Hong Jang-mi, the younger sister of Park Shin-hye’s Hong Geum-bo. The drama premiered as Undercover Miss Hong at 9:10 p.m. on 17 January 2026, and Newsen reported that in episode 1 Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) turned from 35 into a 20-year-old with the help of her sister Hong Jang-mi (Shin Yuna). The casting for the second drama was confirmed before the first had aired: MyDaily reported on 24 November 2025 that a tvN official had said, “It is true that Yuna is appearing in tvN’s new drama ‘My Bias, My Boss’. She also took part in the recent script reading,” and eDaily wrote on 10 July 2026 that Yuna, having appeared in Undercover Miss Hong as Hong Geum-bo’s younger sister Hong Jang-mi, was continuing her acting with My Bias, My Boss. In between, Yuna made her solo debut with the first mini album Ice Cream on 23 March, and the group released the mini album Motto on 18 May. The tvN DRAMA YouTube channel posted a making-of video of Yuna on 21 August.
